Intricate detail of gears and other victorian era mechanical and scientific instruments create a busy, symmetrical piece. Inspired by the steampunk movement in science fiction, this piece symbolizes the hectic time when technology and science were becoming ubiquitous. A color version of this piece will also be available at some point.
I've always been fascinated by mythology & fairy tales, which grew into a love of all things fantastical, including science fiction. I�m also fascinated by the gorgeous, intricate sand mandalas created by Tibetan monks, only to brush them away and start over again the next day. I also love kaleidoscopes, fractals, geometry, spirals, and nature. In 2013, I started working with colored pencils. One day, while relaxing with an adult coloring book that had a space theme, it suddenly occurred to me to take my love of mythology, science fiction, fantasy, and gaming and combine it with my love of geometric patterns with intricate detail and colors - and Tangitude Artworks was born.
