When Frodo meets the Elves in The Hobbit, he uses this greeting, "A star shines on the hour of our meeting." In this piece, the Elven phrase hovers over the trees of Lothlorien, as if you were staring up through the trees while lanterns seem to float against the darkness. In this version, one of my galaxy backgrounds shows a brilliant golden-green nebula against the rich blue sky.
I've always been fascinated by mythology & fairy tales, which grew into a love of all things fantastical, including science fiction. I�m also fascinated by the gorgeous, intricate sand mandalas created by Tibetan monks, only to brush them away and start over again the next day. I also love kaleidoscopes, fractals, geometry, spirals, and nature. In 2013, I started working with colored pencils.
